Meghan Giroux is the owner and director of Vermont Edible Landscapes, a land planning business focused on the development of agroecosystems. Meghan and staff work with residential, commercial and agricultural clients to design, install and establish ecological landscapes.
As an extension of the land planning business, Meghan runs a nursery that offers a broad range of plant materials to help support both residential and agricultural projects.In addition to her work with Vermont Edible Landscapes, Meghan is developing Interlace Agroforestry Farm in Essex County, New York. She is passionate about protecting and enhancing the natural resources of her native state and finding ways to help support rural livelihoods.
Academically, Meghan has a background in plant and soil science, natural resources and is currently finishing her master of agroforestry degree and actively pursuing a Ph.D. to investigate how economically productive tree species interact with nonpoint pollution in riparian areas.
At her new farm, Meghan was the host of the very successful #REX10NewYork in 2016.
