Cliff Davis has vast experience in the fields of permaculture, agroforestry, organics, appropriate technology, natural building, deep nature connection and regenerative agriculture, that allow him to offer an integrative approach to land and culture repair.
Inspired by the simplicity of indigenous farmers worldwide, Cliff and his family live an off-grid hand built lifestyle on a marginal landscape in the hills of Tennessee. Cliff has been restoring the clear cut landscape using agroecology and permaculture as his prime directive. Incorporating extensive earthworks, agroforestry, and animals, his farm is an intensive and unique integration of his training. He believes that a low input human scale approach can have massive implications for restoring ecologies, reversing climate change, and creating an adaptive agriculture in a changing world.
Cliff strives to empower others to take a hands-on approach to design in his regular and advanced course offerings. His humor, straight-forward style and determination to make positive change, make him an engaging instructor, consultant and designer.
He has taught over 55 classes & courses since 2004, and has taken over 25 professional development courses in various specialities including multiple Regrarians® trainings (including co-hosting the #REX3Tennessee in 2016), Carbon Farming, Keyline® Design, Edible Forest Garden Design and Holistic Management. As a professional designer and consultant, he has worked for farms, intentional communities, school campuses and homesteaders.
